Wedding Piece..

So this month at SBC they gave us a strand of pearls for the challenge. I was a little discouraged as I didn't feel it was enough to work with; however, with the pressure on yesterday, as the piece is due this Saturday I thought I better decide what to do with it. I wanted to do something a little bit out there, a little bit avant-garde. A little out of the norm. So I made a big overwhelming bow and added the pearls and some matching swarovski crystals. I'm very excited about how it turned out.

Bead Journal Piece..

I haven't gotten a lot accomplished the past few months; however I did manage to get one Bead Journal piece done. (photographs below).  Now I have two days to start and finish my bead challenge piece for Scottsdale Bead Supply Store. We meet Saturday Morning at 10:30 and I haven't even started the piece. I do have something in mind for it, something a little bit avant-garde. We will see if I can pull it off.  I had hoped to work on it yesterday; however the night before last we had a big dust storm and I spent 2 1/2 hours yesterday morning cleaning up all the dirt. Not to mention the 3 hours the night before I spent cleaning my bedroom (yep, left my screen door open...big OOPS). Everything in my room was coated with a thin layer of dirt. Looked like I took my room to the beach. So after my cleaning I laid down to take a nap, and woke up, well...just about a half hour ago. Nothing like a 15 hour nap to get rejuvenated. I'm hoping for a more productive day today :)

Here is my Bead Journal Piece. This is actually a piece that I have been planning for about a year. I purchased the zippers in an assortment of colors off from a super helpful seller on etsy about a year ago, and have been collecting the other pieces along the way. I really love the way it turned out and am planning to make at least one more in different colors.

i'm still here

Hi everyone. I just wanted to drop a quick post and let everyone know I was still here. I know it's been a long while since I've posted. I hope to write a more elaborate post in the very near future.

Thing is that I do have a disability that occasionally kicks me in my butt, and between my gall bladder surgery and my condition i've spent a great deal of time in bed these past few months. When this happens it is a struggle to be on the computer.  SO I have missed everyone, and I am anxious to catch up on everyone's blog. I'm hoping everyone is having a Fantastic summer! And that everyone had a wonderful 4th.

Again, I can't wait to catch everyone up on the few things I have been doing, and very eager to see what  everyone else has been up to.

Will write soon. (HUGS)

So trusting, free, and relaxed. I adore, and envy her when she is in this state of being.

Bead Journal Project April Piece

Here is my April piece for the BJP. It actually turned out a little better then I expected.  I like it. It is very random, making choices from bead to bead. I'm still recovering from my gallbladder surgery, so anxious to get up and get creating again!

off to the surgery center

hi everyone. Sorry I haven't been online and reading blogs much the past few months. Between my gallbladder acting up and being anemic I haven't done much but sleep. On the flip side it has been a fantastic diet! I've lost more then 20 pounds. Can't complain about that! So I'm leaving in about an hour to go get my gallbladder out, which should leave me feeling much much better!

Hope everyone is well. Will be feeling better and back to reading blogs just as soon as I heal up.

(hugs)

My mom just got home from Michigan. She took a few pictures of the inside of my brothers house, and some of my niece's first communion. Her camera wasn't working great so the pictures are a little blurry, but I'll share them anyways :)

My niece looks so cute, like a lil bride! I wish I could have been there. She is the 1st one.

So they got into their rental house. I guess it had all been set up for them, beds delivered, and set up and such. So they all are in bed, and at midnight...all three of the kids alarm clocks went off. Needless to say, three terrified and traumatized children! Obviously thinking it was fire alarms going off.  Poor babes!

(the inside of the house, you can see lilly's closet up in the corner with her clothes still in it...weird)
Regarding the recent news. At first I was very excited, which is out of character for me as I am, or was up until tonight, always a pacifist. I kinda feel bad for feeling happy about him being dead. I mean, if anyone deserves to be dead it is him!! And when it happened I was hooting and hollering and crying happy tears and celebrating! Now that it's sunk in... I'm a little disturbed by my excitement at anyone, good or bad's, death. And I am happy he is dead. I'm  just not really thrilled with any part of me that wants revenge like that.  Anyways. I will be in crash position until my fiance is safely on the ground next week, and in my arms. He flies out of New York next week, and I have to admit I am a little nervous about the retaliation that will follow this.
